Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 They slept very little during the night 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
