Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? 24 When those [heavenly messengers] came unto him and bade him peace, he answered, "[And upon you be] peace!" - [saying to himself,] "They are strangers." 25 Then he went apart unto his housefolk so that they brought a fatted calf; 26 And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?" 27 And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. 28 His wife came forward, crying and beating her face, saying, "I am an old barren woman!" 29 They said: "Thus said your Lord. He is indeed all-wise and all-knowing." 30 ۞ He said: what then is your errand! O ye sent ones! 31 They said, 'We have been sent to a people of sinners, 32 that we may unleash a shower of clay-stones 33 They are transgressors in the presence of your Lord". 34 So We brought the believers out of that they were in. 35 We found in it only one household of true believers -- 36 And therein We left a sign to those who fear the painful chastisement. 37 And in Musa also was a lesson, when We sent him unto Fir'awn with authority manifest. 38 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] turned away (from Belief in might) along with his hosts, and said: "A sorcerer, or a madman." 39 So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy. 40 And in Ad: When We sent upon them the destructive wind. 41 It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. 42 And in the tribe of Thamud when it was told to them, “Enjoy for a while.” 43 Then they disdained the command of their Lord; wherefore the bolt laid hold of them even while they looked on. 44 They were unable even to stand up or protect themselves. 45 (So had We destroyed) the people of Noah before them: They were surely a sinful people. 46
