Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 So you and your deities 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
