The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord who created - 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Read, for your Lord is most beneficent, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 taught the human what he did not know. 5 Indeed, surely the human is very insolent 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 What thinkest thou? He who forbids 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 Or he commandeth piety? 12 Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 Let him beware! If he does not desist, We will drag him by the forelock -- 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 Nay, heed him not: But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself the closer (to Allah)! ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
