We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. 47 And the earth -- We spread it forth; O excellent Smoothers! 48 And all things We have created by pairs, that haply ye may reflect. 49 And so, [O Muhammad, say unto them:] "Flee unto God [from all that is false and evil]! Verily, I am a plain warner to you from Him! 50 Do not set up with Allah another god. I am a clear warner to you from Him. 51 Similarly, whenever a Noble Messenger came to those before them they always said, “He is a magician or a madman.” 52 What! Have they willed this utterance to one another? In fact they are a rebellious people. 53 So turn away from them: not thine is the blame. 54 But go on reminding them, as reminding benefits the believers. 55 And [tell them that] I have not created the invisible beings and men to any end other than that they may [know and] worship Me. 56 I do not expect to receive any sustenance from them or that they should feed Me. 57 Surely Allah is the Bestower of all provision, the Lord of all power, the Strong. 58 For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)! 59 woe, then, to those who are bent on denying the truth, when the Day arrives which they have been promised. 60
