The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 in towering columns. 9

Almighty Allah's Truth.
