The Pharaoh and his people had also received Our warning, 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]"? 44 [Yet] the hosts [of those who deny the truth] shall be routed, and they shall turn their backs [in flight]! 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 on the Day when they are dragged into the fire on their faces, it will be said to them, "Now feel the touch of Hell!" 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 Thus, indeed, did We destroy people like you [in the past]: who, then, is willing to take it to heart? 51 All their deeds are in the Scrolls, 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers, 54 where they will be honourably seated in the presence of a King, Mighty in Power. 55
