Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 This (Qur’an) is sent down from the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 2 A Book whereof the Verses are explained in detail; A Quran in Arabic for people who know. 3 proclaiming good news and a warning. Yet most of them turn away and so do not listen. 4 They say: “Our hearts are securely wrapped up against what you call us to, and in our ears is a heaviness, and between you and us there is a veil. So act; we too are acting.” 5 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Physically I am a human like you – I receive the divine revelation that your God is only One God, therefore be upright towards Him and seek forgiveness from Him”; and woe is to the polytheists. – 6 Those who give not the Zakat and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 For those who believe and do good works is an enduring wage' 8
