Al-Waaqe'ah 2 of 3
A multitude of those (on the Right Hand) will be from the first generation (who embraced Islam). 39 and also a large throng from those of later times. 40 And those on the Left Hand Who will be those on the Left Hand? 41 (they shall live) amid burning winds and boiling water, 42 And the shade of black smoke. 43 (That shadow) neither cool, nor (even) good, 44 They were endowed with good things 45 And they used to persist in the great violation, 46 And they used to say: "When we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be resurrected? 47 And also our forefathers? 48 (Muhammad), say, "All the ancient and later generations 49 will indeed be gathered together at a fixed time on an appointed Day. 50 Then you people who had gone astray and rejected the Truth 51 Shall surely eat of the tree of Az-Zqqum. 52 and fill your bellies with it, 53 And drinking on top of it from scalding water 54 "Indeed ye shall drink like diseased camels raging with thirst!" 55 This shall be their hospitality on the Day of Doom. 56 We! it is We Who created you: wherefore confess ye not? 57 Have you considered the seed? 58 Do you make a human out of it, or is it We Who create? 59 We have decreed among you Death; We shall not be outstripped; 60 from replacing you by others like yourselves or changing your forms and re-creating you in forms that you know nothing of. 61 You have surely known of the first creation. Why then, will you not remember! 62 Behold! that which ye sow. 63 Is it ye who foster it, or are We the Fosterer? 64 We could turn it, if We pleased, into straw; then you would rue the day, 65 Lo! we are laden with debt! 66 "In fact, we were unfortunate!" 67 And have you seen the water that you drink? 68 Did you send it down from the clouds, or did We send it? 69 [It comes down sweet - but] were it Our will, We could make it burningly salty and bitter: why, then, do you not give thanks [unto Us]? 70 Have you seen the fire which you kindle? 71 Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer? 72 We have made it to be a reminder and a benefit for the wayfarers. 73 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
