۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 In a Book kept hidden 78 Only they can reach it who are clean (of mind). 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 Would you say that this statement is a lie? 81 And make it your provision that ye should belie it? 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water, 93 and the heat of hell fire. 94 Verily, this! This is an absolute Truth with certainty. 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96
