The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
O the Cloaked One! (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) 1 Arise and warn! 2 And your Lord glorify 3 purify your garments; 4 And keep away from Ar-Rujz (the idols)! 5 And give not a thing in order to have more (or consider not your deeds of Allah's obedience as a favour to Allah). 6 be patient unto your Lord. 7 Then when the horn shall be blown, 8 That, at that time, shall be a difficult day, 9 Far from easy for the disbelievers. 10 Leave Me alone with he whom I created 11 and designated for him ample wealth, 12 And children present [with him] 13 And made several preparations for him. 14 and who still desires more. 15 By no means! He has been stubbornly hostile to Our revelation: 16 On him I shall impose a fearful doom. 17 For lo! he did consider; then he planned - 18 death seized him, how was his determining! 19 And once more let him be cursed, how he plotted! 20 Then looked he, 21 and then he frowns and glares, 22 and in the end he turns his back [on Our message,] and glories in his arrogance, 23 And said, “This is nothing but magic learnt from earlier men.” 24 It is nothing but the word of a mortal' 25 I will cast him into Hell-fire 26 Would that you really knew what hell is! 27 It leaves naught nor does it spare aught. 28 It glows and burns the skin. 29 over it are nineteen. 30 We have appointed only angels to be masters of the Fire, and their number We have appointed only as a trial for the unbelievers, that those who were given the Book may have certainty, and that those who believe may increase in belief, and that those who were given the Book and those who believe may not be in-doubt, and that those in whose hearts there is sickness, and the unbelievers, may say, 'What did God intend by this as a similitude?' So God leads astray whomsoever He will, and He guides whomsoever He will; and none knows the hosts of thy Lord but He. And it is naught but a Reminder to mortals. 31
