Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul. 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 Upon that day man shall be told his former deeds and his latter; 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 And thereafter verily upon us is the expounding thereof. 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 And one shank is entangled with the other shank. 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
