The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 These are the verses of a Book luminous. 2 (O Muhammad), you will perhaps grieve yourself to death because these people do not believe. 3 We could send down from the heavens a sign to them if We pleased, before which their heads would remain bowed. 4 And there cometh not unto them any fresh admonition from the Compassionate but they are wont to be therefrom backsliders. 5 So, they belied, but surely the tidings of that they mocked will come to them. 6 Have they not seen the earth, that how many honourable pairs We have created in it? 7 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them will not accept faith. 8 And verily, thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 9
