Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
