Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 separating one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
