Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed time? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 The living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
