Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 separating one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 Till an appointed term, 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
