The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when souls are united, 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 and the night that falls, 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
Almighty Allah's Truth.
