The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is rent asunder, 1 hearing and obeying its Lord, as it must do; 2 And when the earth is spread out 3 and casts forth what is in it, and voids itself, 4 And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] - 5 O man, having striven hard towards your Lord, you shall meet Him: 6 he who is given his record in his right hand 7 He surely will receive an easy reckoning, 8 And will return unto his folk in joy. 9 But whoso is given his account behind his back, 10 He shall call for perdition, 11 and he shall roast at a Blaze. 12 Truly, did he go about among his people, rejoicing! 13 for he never thought that he would have to return [to God]. 14 Yea indeed! His Sustainer did see all that was in him! 15 But nay! I swear by the sunset redness, 16 and the night and what it envelops 17 And the moon when it grows full, 18 you shall proceed onwards from stage to stage. 19 So, wherefore do they not believe? 20 And when the Qur’an is recited to them, they do not fall prostrate? (Command of Prostration # 13) ۩ 21 Nay, but those who disbelieve will deny; 22 But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts) 23 Therefore, give them the news of a painful punishment. 24 Except those who believe and do good; for them is a reward that shall never be cut off. 25
