Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And it is no joke. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17

True are the words of God the Almighty.
