Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Have you heard the story of the overwhelming event (the Day of Judgment)? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 they shall enter a burning Fire 4 their drink shall be from a boiling spring. 5 They shall have no food except bitter dry thorns 6 which neither sustains, nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Other) faces that Day will be joyful, 8 Well-pleased because of their striving, 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech. 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 and prepared goblets, 14 cushions ranged, 15 And linen spread out. 16 Have they not looked at how the camel is created, 17 And at the sky - how it is raised? 18 how the mountains were hoisted, 19 And how the earth was outstretched? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 Thou art not at all a warder over them. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. 24 To Us is surely their returning; 25 Then indeed, upon Us is their account. 26
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
