The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 in endless columns! 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
