Has it not become clear to those who inherited the earth after its [previous] people that if We willed, We could afflict them for their sins? But We seal over their hearts so they do not hear. 100 We have told you the stories of those towns: their messengers came to them with clear signs, but they were never going to believe in something they had already rejected. Thus God seals up the hearts of those who deny the truth. 101 We found no (loyalty to any) covenant in most of them. Nay, most of them We found wrong-doers. 102 After the time of those people, We sent Moses with Our miracles to Pharaoh and his people, but they too rejected Our miracles. Consider, how terrible the end of the evil-doers is! 103 And Moses said, "O Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds 104 I must only speak what is true about God. I have brought you miracles from your Lord; therefore, let the children of Israel go free". 105 Said Firaun, “If you have come with a sign, then present it if you are truthful!” 106 Then (Moses) threw his rod, and behold! it was a serpent, plain (for all to see)! 107 And he drew out his hand, and behold! it was white (with radiance) for the beholders. 108
