The hypocrites and those whose hearts are sick, say, "The (believers') religion has deceived them." Those who trust in God will find Him Majestic and All-wise. 49 If thou couldst only see when the angels take the unbelievers, beating their faces and their backs: 'Taste the chastisement of the burning -- 50 in return for what your own hands have wrought - for, never does God do the least wrong to His creatures!" 51 Like Pharaoh's people and those that have gone before them, they rejected God's signs and God seized them for their sins. God is strong, and severe in punishment! 52 That is because Allah would not change a favor which He had bestowed upon a people until they change what is within themselves. And indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing. 53 This was the case with the people of Pharaoh and those before them, who rejected the signs of their Lord and were destroyed for their sins, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh as they were oppressors. 54 Lo! the worst of beasts in Allah's sight are the ungrateful who will not believe. 55 Those with whom you make an agreement, then they break their agreement every time and they do not guard (against punishment). 56 When you capture the (unbelievers) during a fight, teach them a lesson so that they thereafter will always be aware of the threat of your power. 57 And if thou fearest treachery from any folk, then throw back to them (their treaty) fairly. Lo! Allah loveth not the treacherous. 58
