T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Quran unto you (O Muhammad SAW) to cause you distress, 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 The Most Gracious Who, befitting His Majesty, took to the Throne (of control). 5 To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, and all whatever is between them, and all whatever is beneath this wet soil. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance." 10 Then when he was come thereto, he was cried unto. O Musa! 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 Although it is certain that the Day of Judgment will come, I prefer to keep it almost a secret so that every soul will receive the recompense for what it has done (on its own). 15 Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish; 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel." 24
