The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 who give charity, 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
