(Recount to them about the time) when Your Lord called Moses: "Go to the wrong-doing people, 10 The people of Fir'awn; fear they Me not? 11 He said: "My Lord! I fear that they will brand me a liar. 12 and my breast will be straitened, and my tongue will not be loosed; so send to Aaron. 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they shall slay me. 14 Allah said: "Nay! Go you both with Our Signs. Verily! We shall be with you, listening. 15 go both to Pharaoh and both of you say to him: 'We are (each) a Messenger from the Lord of all the Worlds. 16 Send forth with us the Children of Israel' 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst, and thou wast one of the ingrates. 19 He said: I did it then when I was mistaken. 20 "So I fled from you (all) when I feared you; but my Lord has (since) invested me with judgment (and wisdom) and appointed me as one of the messengers. 21 And this is the favour with which you taunt me -- that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?" 22 Pharaoh said, "What is this: Lord of the Universe?" 23 He said, 'The Lord of the heavens and earth, and what between them is, if you have faith.' 24 Fir'awn said unto those around him: hear ye not? 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 Pharaoh said, "This messenger who has been sent to you is surely possessed!" 27 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the East and the Lord of the West and all that lies between them, if you have sense." 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 He said, 'What, even though I brought thee something so manifest?' 30 Said he, 'Bring it then, if thou art of the truthful.' 31 Then he cast down his staff, and lo! it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers. 33
