The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh (Noah) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 106 I am a trustworthy messenger for you: 107 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 108 I ask of you no recompense for it, for my only reward is with the Lord of the Universe, 109 So fear Allah and obey me' 110 ۞ They said: shall We believe in thee when the meanest follow thee? 111 He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do? 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 I would not drive away the believers; 114 “I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” 115 They said, "Noah, if you do not desist, you will, certainly, be stoned to death." 116 He said: My Lord! Lo! my own folk deny me. 117 Therefor judge Thou between us, a (conclusive) judgment, and save me and those believers who are with me. 118 We saved him and those who were with him in the laden ship, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Verily there is a sign in this, yet many of them do not believe. 121 But surely your Lord is mighty and merciful. 122
