In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Alif Lam Mim 1 These are the verses of the sagacious Book, 2 And a guidance and grace for those who do good, 3 who establish Prayer and pay Zakah, and have firm faith in the Hereafter. 4 It is they who are on guidance from their Lord, and only they are the successful. 5 (In an attempt to show that God's revelations are only ancient legends) some people pay for meaningless tales to draw others attention away from the Quran without knowledge and treat as a matter of fun. They will suffer a humiliating torment. 6 When Our verses are recited to such a person, he arrogantly turns away, as though he had not heard them, or as though there was a deafness in his ears. So announce to him the tidings of a grievous chastisement. 7 Surely those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, there awaits them Gardens of Bliss 8 Abiding in them; the promise of Allah; (a) true (promise), and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; He set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and He scattered through it beasts of all kinds. We send down rain from the sky, and produce on the earth every kind of noble creature, in pairs. 10 [All] this is God's creation: show Me, then, what others than He may have created! Nay, but the evildoers are obviously lost in error! 11
