Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
A. L. M. 1 These are revelations of the wise Scripture, 2 A guidance and a mercy for the doers of goodness, 3 Those who keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and they are certain of the hereafter. 4 Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 5 There are some human beings who purchase an enchanting diversion in order to lead people away from the way of Allah without having any knowledge, who hold the call to the Way of Allah to ridicule. A humiliating chastisement awaits them. 6 For, whenever Our messages are conveyed to such a one, he turns away in his arrogance as though he had not heard them - as though there were deafness in his ears. Give him, then, the tiding of grievous suffering [in the life to come]. 7 Verily, those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, for them are Gardens of delight (Paradise). 8 In which they will abide; it is a true promise of Allah; and only He is the Almighty, the Wise. 9 He has created the heavens without any pillars, that you see and has set on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with you. And He has scattered therein moving (living) creatures of all kinds. And We send down water (rain) from the sky, and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 Such is Allah's creation. Show me, then, what any others, apart from Allah, have created. Nay, the fact is that the wrong-doers are in manifest error. 11
