O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and wives of the believers that they should draw over themselves some of their outer garments [when in public], so as to be recognized and not harmed. God is most forgiving and most merciful. 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and those in whose hearts there is a sickness, and the scandal mongers in Madinah do not desist from their vile acts, We shall urge you to take action against them, and then they will hardly be able to stay in the city with you. 60 Cursed: wherever they are found they shall be seized and murdered, a (horrible) murdering. 61 That was the Way of Allah in the case of those who passed away of old, and you will not find any change in the Way of Allah. 62 Men ask thee concerning the Hour: Say, "The knowledge thereof is with Allah (alone)": and what will make thee understand?- perchance the Hour is nigh! 63 Allah has cursed the unbelievers and prepared for them a Blaze. 64 Abiding therein forever, they will not find a protector or a helper. 65 The Day their faces will be turned about in the Fire, they will say, "How we wish we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger." 66 And they will say: our Lord! verily we obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they led us astray from the way. 67 Our Lord, let their punishment be doubled; and curse them with a mighty curse' 68
