Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ya-Sin. 1 Consider this Qur'an full of wisdom: 2 Truly, you (O Muhammad SAW) are one of the Messengers, 3 on a straight path, 4 (The Qur’an is) Sent down by the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 5 That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware. 6 (I swear) that most of them are doomed to be punished. They have no faith. 7 We have put fetters around their necks which reach up to their chins so that they are standing with their heads upright, 8 We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and, We have covered them so that they do not see. 9 It is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them for they shall not believe. 10 You warn only him who follows the advice and fears the Most Gracious without seeing; therefore give him glad tidings of forgiveness and an honourable reward. 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
