The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]. 3 your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 They are rejected and theirs is an everlasting punishment; 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21
