And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
