And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
