Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
