Hizb 46

And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 They used to say: 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
