And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment. 41 We said to him, “Strike the earth with your foot; this cool spring is for bathing and drinking.” (A spring gushed forth when he struck the earth – this was a miracle.) 42 And We bestowed on him (again) his household and therewith the like thereof, a mercy from Us, and a memorial for men of understanding. 43 [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 Verily We! We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Abode. 46 And verily they are with us of the elect of the excellent ones. 47 And remember Isma'il (Ishmael), Al-Yasa'a (Elisha), and Dhul-Kifl (Isaiah), all are among the best. 48 This is a commemoration. Surely for those who take heed for themselves is an excellent place of return -- 49 Gardens of Eternity, whose doors will (ever) be open to them; 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for plenteous fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste women restraining their glances, (companions) of equal age. 52 'This is what you are promised on the Day of Recompense, 53 Indeed this is Our sustenance, which will never end. 54 This: and verily for the exorbitant there shall be an evil retreat: 55 Hell, wherein they roast: a wretched couch. 56 Here is a boiling and an ice-cold draught, so let them taste it, 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 'This is a troop rushing in with you; there is no Welcome for them; they shall roast in the Fire.' 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 [And] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Whoever has prepared this for us, double Thou his suffering in the fire!" 61 And they will say: 'Why do we not see the men that we counted as being among the wicked in here? 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 All this is certainly true -- the inhabitants of the Fire will blame one another in this way. 64
