It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. 16 When the two (angels) who keep the account, one sitting on the right, one on the left, take it down, 17 Not a word does he utter but there is a sentinel by him, ready (to note it). 18 The trance of death will come revealing the truth: that is what you were trying to escape. 19 And the trumpet will be blown: this is the Day of the Threatening. 20 And every soul shall come, and with it a driver and a witness. 21 (He will be told), "You were completely heedless of this day. We have removed the veil from your eyes and your vision will now be sharp and strong". 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 (The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!- 24 every hinderer of the good, transgressor, disquieter, 25 who has set up with Allah another god. Indeed, you two, cast him into the terrible punishment' 26 ۞ His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error." 27 He shall say, 'Dispute not before Me! For I sent you beforehand -- the threat. 28 The Word cannot be changed with Me; I do not wrong My worshipers' 29
