Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a discharged living germ 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
