▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for him who dreadeth the standing before his Lord will be two Gardens. 46 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 47 Having numerous branches. 48 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 49 In both of them are two springs, flowing. 50 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 51 In both of them, there will be two kinds of every fruit. 52 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 53 They shall recline on couches lined with brocade, and within reach shall hang the fruits of the two Gardens. 54 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 55 Therein shall be those of refraining looks whom before them hath deflowered neither man nor jinn. 56 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 57 [When you are promised splendours] as though [of] rubies and [of] pearls 58 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 59 Can any thing else be a response to a favor but a favor? 60 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 61 And besides these two are two (other) gardens: 62 jinn and mankind - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny 63 The greenest of green pastures. 64 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 65 Therein are two gushing fountains of water. 66 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 67 In which will be the fruit, date-palms and pomegranates. 68 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 69 In these [gardens] will be [all] things most excellent and beautiful. 70 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 71 houris, cloistered in cool pavilions -- 72 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 73 Untouched before them by man or jinni - 74 Which, then, of the benefits of Your Lord will ye twain belie? 75 reclining upon green cushions and lovely druggets -- 76 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 77 Blessed be the name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Honor! 78
