a good many of olden times, 39 and a multitude of the later people. 40 And those of the left hand, how wretched are those of the left hand! 41 They will be in the midst of scorching wind and boiling water, 42 and under the shadow of black smoke, 43 (That shadow) neither cool, nor (even) good, 44 Indeed they were, before that, indulging in affluence, 45 And persisted obstinately in wickedness supreme! 46 And they used to say: "When we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be resurrected? 47 “And also our forefathers?” 48 Proclaim, “Without doubt all the former and the latter.” 49 shall be gathered to the appointed time of a known day. 50 Then indeed you, the astray, the deniers 51 Will eat of the tree of Zaqqum, 52 You shall fill your bellies with it, 53 and drink on top of that boiling water 54 "So you will drink (that) like thirsty camels!" 55 This is their reception on the Day of Justice. 56 It is He who created you, then why do you not affirm the truth? 57 Do ye then see?- The (human Seed) that ye throw out,- 58 Is it you who create it - or are We the source of its creation? 59 We have decreed Death to be your common lot, and We are not to be frustrated 60 from changing your Forms and creating you (again) in (forms) that ye know not. 61 You certainly knew about (your) first development. Why do you not take heed? 62 Have you considered the soil you till? 63 is it you that sow it, or are We the Sower? 64 If We pleased, We should have certainly made it broken down into pieces, then would you begin to lament: 65 (Saying), "We are indeed left with debts (for nothing): 66 Nay! we are deprived. 67 Did you cast a good look at the water that you drink? 68 Is it you who sent it down from the clouds or is it We who have sent it down? 69 If We willed, We verily could make it salt (and undrinkable), why then do you not give thanks (to Allah)? 70 Have ye observed the fire which ye strike out; 71 Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer? 72 It is We who have made it as a reminder and a means of comfort for the people. 73 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
