Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Say (O Muhammad SAW): "It has been revealed to me that a group (from three to ten in number) of jinns listened (to this Quran). They said: 'Verily! We have heard a wonderful Recital (this Quran)! 1 ‘That guides to the path of goodness, we have therefore accepted faith in it; and we shall never ascribe anyone as a partner to our Lord.’ 2 And He - exalted be the majesty of our Lord! hath taken neither a spouse nor a son. 3 The ignorant fool among us has spoken outrageously against Allah, 4 And we had thought that mankind and the jinn would never speak about Allah a lie. 5 Yet [it has always happened] that certain kinds of humans would seek refuge with certain kinds of [such] invisible forces: but these only increased their confusion 6 And they had thought, as you thought, that Allah would never send anyone [as a messenger]. 7 "'And [so it happened] that we reached out towards heaven: but we found it filled with mighty guards and flames, 8 There, we would sit to eavesdrop, but now an eavesdropper finds a flame in wait for him. 9 And we know not whether harm is boded unto all who are in the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth guidance for them. 10 As for us, some of us are righteous and others are not. We have all followed different ways. 11 We know that we cannot frustrate Allah in the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 When we heard the call to guidance, we believed in it. He who believes in his Lord has no fear of loss or of injustice. 13 'And of us some are Muslims (who have submitted to Allah, after listening to this Quran), and of us some are Al-Qasitun (disbelievers those who have deviated from the Right Path)'. And whosoever has embraced Islam (i.e. has become a Muslim by submitting to Allah), then such have sought the Right Path." 14 'But those who swerve,- they are (but) fuel for Hell-fire'- 15 Had they (jinn and mankind) remained steadfast in their religion (Islam), We would certainly have given them abundant water to drink 16 as a trial for them. God will make those who disregard the guidance from their Lord suffer increasing torment. 17 The mosques are for God's worship -- so do not invoke anyone else along with God -- 18 "Yet when the Devotee of Allah stands forth to invoke Him, they just make round him a dense crowd." 19
