Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul. 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is before him. 5 He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 And one shank is entangled with the other shank. 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
