Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 storming tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
