Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Eat and enjoy for a while: You are certainly sinners. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
