The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 And the promised day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
