Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 Therefore give them some respite – give them some time. 17

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
