Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Beholdest thou him who belieth the Requital? 1 It is he who pusheth away the orphan, 2 and urges not the feeding of the needy. 3 Woe to those who pray 4 Who are unmindful of their prayers, 5 Those who make show [of their deeds] 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
