Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 These are Verses of the Wise Book (the Quran). 2 a guide and a mercy for those who do good, 3 people who are steadfast in prayer, pay the religious tax, and have firm belief in the life to come. 4 Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 5 (In an attempt to show that God's revelations are only ancient legends) some people pay for meaningless tales to draw others attention away from the Quran without knowledge and treat as a matter of fun. They will suffer a humiliating torment. 6 And when Our signs are recited to such a man he turns away, waxing proud, as though he heard them not, and in his ears were heaviness; so give him good tidings of a painful chastisement. 7 Surely, those who believe and do good works shall enter gardens of bliss, 8 To abide therein. It is a Promise of Allah in truth. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars that you see and has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with you, and dispersed therein from every creature. And We sent down rain from the sky and made grow therein [plants] of every noble kind. 10 Such is God's creation. Show me now what those (they worship) beside Him have created. Surely the evil-doers are in clear error. 11
